The workshop will take place from Saturday 13 to Sunday 14 November,  from H10:00 to H18:00 circa, in a space in Milan. It will be held in English.

Within the framework of the series of events organized by SPRINT—Independent Publishers and Artists’ Books Salon, Istituto Svizzero is promoting the Risograph printing Workshop curated by Eilean Friis-Lund (art director and graphic designer, Lausanne) with the participation of Alice Vodoz (graphic designer).
Coordinated and assisted by Elena Radice (artist and photographer), with the collaboration and technical support of Studio ATTO.

Risograph is an eco-friendly printing method into which the chromatic attitude of silk printing meets the fast timing of photocopy reproduction and the softness of inkjet prints. It’s an awesome and professional — even if  cheap — solution for little editions, due to its range of possibilities going from uniform tones to crazy analog patterns.

Participants will develop an editorial project by the end of the two days of work. The proposed paths and structures are specifically thought to reveal tricks ’n’ tips, to stress the technique, in order to understand it and handle it both during the first phases of composition and the second ones ruled by printing. The Swiss designers Eilean Friis-Lund and Alice Vodoz will lead the workshop tutoring and helping during the development of the design, the printing planning and actions.

With the support of Istituto Svizzero and GMUND Paper, exclusive Risograph Workshop supplier.
