MĂ©nagerie de verre
The performance Amherstia by Sandar Tun Tun at the Ménagerie de verre (Paris) is presented by the Centre culturel suisse On tour and the Istituto Svizzero. It is part of the LES INACCOUTUMÉS AUTOMNE 24 taking place in October and will serve as a prelude to the performance festival Sol Invictus, organized by the Istituto Svizzero and scheduled to take place in Rome, Milan, and Palermo in December.
Somewhere between noise and R’n’B, in the haze of a misty stage, sound takes shape like the Amherstia, an extravagant flower, it is said, in fame or name, steeped in colonial history. Vibrant petals, restrained energy, voices of anger or poetry, lost beats, deep bass resonating to the bones. Through storytelling, Sandar Tun Tun crafts sonic landscapes that draw from the emptiness and the void, invoking hidden memories. They presents musical fragments where intensity and sentimental notes intertwine in a spatialized sonic drama.

Biography
Sandar Tun Tun‘s work revolves around fabulation, new alliances, and collaborative trajectories. As an artist, DJ, and composer, they develop a practice of sound, space, and performance focused on listening, sensitivity, and critical responsiveness. Starting from the social space of music and its potential for transgression, their projects explore how dissonance, fragmentation, and noise can be inhabited through memory or inversion. Their research focuses on modes of transmission within oral cultures and artificial narratives, leading to experimentation with languages, strategies, and co-composition processes, ranging from creating entities to organizing events, study groups, or sound poetry.
