KiKu was founded by trumpeter Yannick Barman and percussionist Cyril Regamey. The two musicians met during their studies at the academy of music in Lausanne. Both Barman and Regamey are very fond of improvised music and composing and thus decided to found an acoustic duo and fly to New York, where musical encounters took place and were multiplied. In February 2003 KiKu matured further because of an experiment at the Theatre de l’Orientale in Vevey (CH). During 20 evenings the duo had to create a sound and an identity, which formed a solid basis for further musical enquiries. In the meantime KiKu has completely abandoned its acoustic roots and Barman and Regamey enriche their music with electronic sounds, which are produced by machines, loops and computers. Thanks to sampling the two musicians achieve in real-time a multiplication towards infinity. The mixture of timbre, improvisation and compositional elements brings KiKu close to classical chamber music and takes the listener on a journey through unknown soundscapes.

Blixa Bargeld was born 1959 in Berlin (West). In 1980 he formed the group EINSTÜRZENDE NEUBAUTEN as lead vocalist. From 1984 to 2003 he was co-founder sideman and guitarist of Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds. He has performed numerous concert tours through europe, north and south america, australia and japan. He works as composer, singer, musician, performer, author, actor, director and lecturer in almost any field of interpretative art.

Black Cracker is a Berlin based artist. The sound is his own signature Industial R&B/OFF Pop! Dubiously, combining elements ranging from Hip Hop, Soul and Jersey Club. He has recently opened for G-Easy, FKA Twigs, Big Freedia, and My Brightest Diamond as well as being mentioned in the publications V Magazine, The Guardian, Art Forum, Dazed and Confused, and the New York Times!

Father Murphy is the sound of the Catholic sense of Guilt. A downward spiral aiming at the bottom of the hollow, and then digging even deeper. Father Murphy over the years became one of the most mysterious and enigmatic musical entities coming out of Italy, part of that community that Simon Reynolds and Julian Cope started to call the new “Italian Occult Psychedelia”.

Divus is a duo from Rome, comprised of electronic musician Lucianno Lamanna (Lunar Lodge, Balance, LSWHR) and saxophone player Luca T. Mai (Zu, Mombu). The encounter of Lamanna and Mai is suprisingly far from their usual sound. Their influences coming from techno and jazzcore/metal are both left aside here, in favour of a more nocturnal and atmospheric sound. The use of synthesisers is sober and it’s accompained by long sustained notes from the saxophone. The music is so smokey and dark, It could suit perfectly a b/w crime movie shot in one metropolitan suburb.
