I pomeriggi series
I pomeriggi at Istituto Svizzero is a series dedicated to our Fellows. It is an opportunity for the public to learn more about the projects they are working on during this year’s residency.

The event is curated by Marie Petersmann (Roma Calling 2022/2023).

Becoming Common – Ecological Resistance, Refusal, Reparation

The event brings together artists, activists and scholars from the humanities to address three interrelated questions: How can collective action be rethought and practiced without or beyond the liberal, individualist and racialised category of the ‘human’ subject? How do collectives composed of more-than- (or less-than-) ‘humans’ act to resist and repair endemic ecological harms? And how do such collectives stand in relation to or against the law as such? This transdisciplinary event explores new forms of ecological resistance, modes of commoning, and politics of refusal that activate distinct registers of ecological reparation and care.
