Giornata Mondiale della Poesia
To celebrate World Poetry Day, Accademia D’Ungheria in Rome hosts the eleventh edition of the evening of readings L’Europa in versi, which will see 15 poets from different European countries take turns in reading poetry in the original language with Italian translation.
Switzerland is represented by poet Laura Accerboni.
Biography
Laura Accerboni (Genoa, 1985) lives in Geneva. She works in literature and visual arts. She has published poetry books as Il prima e il dopo dell’acqua (Einaudi, 2024; Premio TIR 2025), Acqua acqua fuoco (Einaudi, 2020), La parte dell’annegato (Nottetempo, 2016), Attorno a ciò che non è stato (Edizioni del Leone, 2010). She has won several literary prizes including: Lerici Pea giovani (1996), Premio internazionale di poesia Piero Alinari (2011), Premio Achille Marazza Opera Prima (2012). Since 2016 she has been among the poets selected within the Versopolis project promoted by the European Union. In 2021 she won the Pro Helvetia literary creation grant.
A project by EUNIC Rome (European Union National Institutes for Culture ), in collaboration with and supported by FUIS (Federazione Unitaria Italiana Scrittori). Under the patronage of the Italian National Commission for UNESCO and the European Commission. Representation in Italy.
