Zooming into garments, seams, pockets and collars, A Raw Material Piece focuses on the early stages, the unconstructed process of the making of a fashion collection: composing texture and color, shapes and details. The larger part of the exhibition is composed out of different items of vintage workwear (1930s-1950s), garments either used within the fields of military or logistics.

The materials in the exhibition are carefully selected by fashion designer Christine Rösch, who has been working within the industry as a designer for fashion houses Sonia Rykiel, Maison Martin Margiela and Raf Simons.
