The artistic work of Hannah Villiger (1951-97) is still relevant today. Between the 1980s and 1990s she focused on capturing her own body through the quick shots of a Polaroid camera.

Taking this as starting point on the 19.06.2021, Gioia Dal Molin (curator of the exhibition Hannah Villiger: Works/Sculptural at the Istituto Svizzero) will be in conversation with Elisabeth Bronfen and Cecilia Canziani. Through a re-reading of Hannah Villiger’s practice they will discuss the relevance of her work in contemporary visual culture through the lenses of a decidedly feminist perspective.

The conversation/tour will take place within the context of the exhibition Hannah Villiger-Works/Sculptural, currently on view at Istituto Svizzero.
Please note that the exhibition tour will be filmed.
