On the occasion of the Summer School Perspectives on Digital Fashion Communication of «Made In». Cases from Italy, France, Spain and Switzerland, a project by the Università della Svizzera italiana (USI), we will host a conference with Nicolas Girotto (CEO Bally), moderated by Nadzeya Kalbaska (USI).
The image and reputation of a nation can be reflected in its creative industries, which are simultaneously produced and promoted by them. In this context, the fashion industry plays a major role for its links to social customes, art and cultural heritage, and its ability to act as an ‘ambassador’ for a geographical area. Nowadays, the market of national image and reputation is mainly negotiated by digital communication. Indeed, the digital transformation profoundly affects all creative industries.
This public event will investigate the contribution and dynamics of digital communication in the constitution of a national image, with a particular focus on the creative industry of fashion and the qualification of a sustainable « Made in » in this sector.
The event is part of the Summer School Perspectives on Digital Fashion Communication of «Made In» Cases from Italy, France, Spain and Switzerland, organised by USI – Università della Svizzera italiana and attended by advanced Master students, PhD Candidates, fashion and heritage professionals.
