Istituto Svizzero is pleased to present In the Name of the Rose: Searching for Unknown, Lost, and Forgotten Ancient Texts, an international workshop in Classics organized in collaboration with Renate Burri from the Center for Global Studies of the University of Bern.

Can a deliberate search targeted at finding new ancient texts be successful also today? The exploratory and experimental project In the Name of the Rose: Searching for Unknown, Lost, and Forgotten Ancient Texts tried to find it out. The workshop will present the project outcome in an international context of other searches for and discoveries of new ancient texts.

With the support of the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF).
