Winner of the Montreux Jazz Talent Awards 2019 and Swiss Live Talents Award 2022 nominee, Afra Kane is a singer-songwriter, with multiple musical and cultural backgrounds. Her sensitivity is enormously reflected in her music, which unearths taboos and undiscussed topics: depression, hypersensitivity, impostor syndrome and self-forgiveness. Composition has always been the artist’s means to dissecting emotions, converting them into art. Her latest album Hypersensitive (released in March 2022), was rated four stars by Kulturtipp and allowed her to play in several countries, such as China, Bolivia, Peru, Spain, the UK, Germany, and the United States. Afra Kane was invited to play as a guest artist at Jack Savoretti’s Italian tour, contacted by the singer himself on Instagram. She also shared the stage with John McLaughin, Anne Pacéo and Snarky Puppy. In 2021, she was an Artist in residence at the prestigious Carlyle Café in Hong Kong, whose legacy has seen Eartha Kitt, Woody Allen and Bobby Short among some of the artists invited to the Café hailing from New York.

Producer and DJ Belia Winnewisser lives and works in Zurich. For the completion of her studies in music and media art Belia tried to combine sound art and pop music in her work. With her first album Radikale Akzeptanz, released by Präsens Editionen, she succeeded in doing just that. In addition, the release gave her an international perception. On July 2nd 2021 Belia’s second album SODA appeared likewise on Präsens Editionen. With this album, the artist marked another milestone in her solo career and she solidified her approach to sound production. The media response to the release showed that Winnewisser had not only found her own way with it, but also an exciting one. A year later the EP Mother Earth Took Poison In Her Soil was released on the Frankfurt label Die Orakel which presented Belia’s refreshing approach to club music. Besides her work as a producer, Belia is resident DJ at Kapitel Bollwerk in Bern and enjoys various bookings. Belia’s DJ sets are bursting with energy and emotion and are characterized by her sense of rhythm and tension.

La Diferencia is an Italian-Peruvian duo based in Rome that explores new electronic music from the other hemisphere. From radio selections for Battiti and Radio Raheem to sets in the Merende circuit at Angelo Mai, Short Theater, Trenta Formiche or Fanfulla, their research gravitates around the productions of non-Western or post-immigrant artists and independent labels linked to them. A representation of the global South and its infinite languages.
