Biographies:

Federica Michisanti Trio
The trio is a sum of the two projects of the Rome based double bass player Federica Michisanti: Trioness and Horn Trio. The band involves Simone Maggio on piano and Francesco Lento on trumpet and flugelhorn and performs a repertoire of compositions by Michisanti. Characteristic of the trio is the contrapuntal and chamber music aspect, in a continuous exchange of roles between the instruments, which often go beyond their formal role. Much space is also left for impromptu improvisation. Federica Michisanti won the Top Jazz 2018 as best new Italian talent, the SIAE 2019 award for originality in compositional research, which led her to play with her trio together with Louis Sclavis, and the Top jazz 2020 with her Horn Trio as the best Italian group of the year. Top jazz is the critics’ pool held every year by the prestigious Musica Jazz magazine.

Andrina Bollinger
From playing solo to her duo projects JPTR & Eclecta or as a guest with the Erik Truffaz Quartet – Andrina Bollinger has established herself as a prolific leading figure in the Swiss music scene. With her solo music, the singer and composer explores spaces with her voice, which are constantly changing. Sometimes they occur as an inner castle, other times inside Turrell’s artworks. In those rooms she screams, hums, talks, breathes and creates songs – each one a room in itself. Andrina played solo at renowned festivals and venues like the Café de la Danse in Paris or the Cully Jazz Festival and has been awarded with multiple prizes.
