Italo-Swiss cultural relations between associations, publishing and propaganda (1935-1965)

For the first time, this volume addresses the field of Italo-Swiss relations from a methodological perspective that refers to cultural studies, the history of ideas and the history of intellectuals. A series of essays reconstructs the complex map of relations that between the last years of the fascist regime and the immediate post-war period formed the basis of cultural mediation between the two countries. Thus emerge nodes and crossroads of a network that crossed borders, in which cultural, economic and political interests intertwined.

The authors Tatiana Crivelli and Alessandro Bosco will be in conversation with critic Mauro Novelli.

Institutional greetings and moderation: Raffaella Castagnola Rossini (Director of Divisione della cultura e degli studi universitari, Dipartimento dell’educazione, della cultura e dello sport del Cantone Ticino).

The event is organized by the University of Zurich.
