Istituto Svizzero supports the performance Le Cirque Ast√©ro√Įde by Swiss dancer and choreographer Marie-Caroline Hominal, who will perform on two consecutive days in Milan, as part of the FAROUT Festival and the Festival le Alleanze dei corpi.
Le Cirque Ast√©ro√Įde¬†is a 30-minute show held in a trailer truck. It reveals 5 performers with spoken word acts, drums, brass and dances for a constellation of celebrations. The work is part of a series of different choreographic pieces that explore party imagery, entertainment dynamics and theatrical tricks.

¬ęDuring the spring 2020 lockdown, I found myself in front of a construction site with some workers loading material onto a truck, whose huge red tarp was opening like a curtain. This was the stimulus to write Le cirque ast√©ro√Įde. After this period I wanted to perform on the street, and the semi-trailer became a scenic landscape for me, a place of mobile poetry¬Ľ.
