‘A’ is a first book of a Polish-born and Milan-based photographer Piotr Niepsuj. It’s a diary of a holiday he spent together with a special person, a shared summer trip through Poland, his hometown of Lodz and then to Berlin. It’s a journal of a journey that allowed him to rediscover familiar things and see them from a new point of view.
« I’ve always wanted to make a ‘summer with a girlfriend’ kind of book and in a way it is very much like this. At the same time it’s nothing like this at all. It’s not happening in any remote or exotic location, there is not even a hint of nudity and it doesn’t even really seem like fun. But it’s still a very personal and honest visual of something we shared for a little bit. »
